The challenge

Flybuys is Australia's largest loyalty programs operator, with 8.6 million members in 6.6 million households. Fifteen Flybuys cards are scanned every second on average in Australia. As a result of the departure of the CPO and newly appointed CEO, the Flybuys board engaged was seeking to replace the role with a new set of capabilities that will embody the changing nature of a tech company and the pace at which decisions need to be made and hiring strategies implemented.

Emu mapped the domestic Tech and SaaS market for an HR executive who could deliver against the brief. Through our immediate networks, we discovered a connection to the CPO of Qantas Loyalty who referred the right candidate. We were also able to identify a number of other technology CPO executives who were close to the mark and framed the offer for the right candidate. All 6 candidates on the shortlist were females and the search was executed under tight time frames prior to Christmas.
